About the Role
Purpose of Role
- Collaborate with the HR Manager and Global Compliance Coordinator to facilitate efficient HR operations, including employee induction, recruitment, compensation and benefits administration, and the management of staff records and the HRIS.
- Ensure that all HR policies comply with local and international regulations while promoting a high-performance culture within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and candidate sourcing, interviews, onboarding and offboarding, payroll processing, MPF administration, tax reporting, employee benefits such as medical insurance, leave and attendance records, performance management, employee relations, and preparation of reports for management review.
- Manage the online and offline recruitment process, arrange interviews, prepare employment contracts, and handle logistics from onboarding to offboarding, including verification of candidates’ qualifications and reference checks.
- Manage overseas payroll through outsourced payroll vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and enhance the HR database and HRIS system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date personal records, job information, leave records, and related files.
- Collect relevant market information and coordinate with compensation and benefits vendors on related surveys to ensure market competitiveness.
- Use HRIS data to prepare HR analytics and reports for management review, strategic planning, and group reporting purposes.
- Regularly review HR policies, practices, and procedures to ensure proper documentation, statutory compliance, and transparency across different employee groups.
- Provide effective coaching and support to teammates, fostering a positive learning environment and culture.
- Collaborate with teammates to organise company events, such as the Annual Party and Christmas party, to foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
- Oversee daily office operations, including vendor management, procurement of office supplies, and facility management, including repairs and maintenance.
- Provide backup support for the Receptionist role.
- Perform ad hoc assignments and projects as required.
Requirements
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in BambooHR and Google Workspace, with strong analytical skills for HR metrics and reporting, is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective coaching and support to team members and foster a culture of learning and development is desirable.
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong labour laws and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with international HR standards and compliance issues is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and administration, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Experience preparing HR analytics and reports for strategic planning and management review is desirable.
Languages
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese.
- Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
