With your gift, we can multiply our impact and change the world for the better.
Animal Advocacy Careers makes it easy and accessible to find jobs that fuel change in the world. We provide content, an online course, job board, and career advice to equip animal advocates with the tools and opportunities to strengthen the animal advocacy movement. Your donation fuels our efforts to fast-forward the end of animal suffering, creating a world where all beings can live safely and happily.

AAC directs animal advocates to opportunities to achieve the highest impact possible through their careers.
We are fully run through philanthropic donations. We have been supported by Open Philanthropy, Animal Charity Evaluators, Effective Altruism Funds, Charity Entrepreneurship, and individual donors, but it is vital that we develop a sustainable funding model with multiple funding sources.
We do not expect to be able to meet our funding needs by grants alone, so your support is crucial to our mission. Currently, we need to raise $150,000 USD to meet our target until the end of this year.
Donations for Animal Advocacy Careers are tax-deductible and eligible for gift aid in the US but we may be able to offer tax deductible donations for gifts over $5,000 in the EU and UK through our partners (please get in touch if this is the case). Donors in other countries are still able to donate in the currency of their choice via our donation form above.
For every $1 we spend or you donate, we provide $2.7 of value to the animal movement. We have helped more than 95 individuals change their careers into paid roles that help animals, 50+ volunteering or internships, and have raised over USD $2.2 million to the movement. You can learn much more on our Impact Page and case studies here.
If you are interested in making a donation of $1,000 or above please contact lauren@animaladvocacycareers.org to discuss further. We want to make sure we’re a good fit for you and that you make your donation in the most efficient way.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to help and are more than happy to discuss any queries you may have, including the advantages and potential considerations of making a donation.

We have two versions of the online course:
For most people, we recommend the scheduled version because:
However, the self-paced version might be better for you if:
The online course is divided into nine weeks (with one session per week), with additional optional content available if you choose to explore it. Each session typically takes one to two hours to complete, so this is the amount of time you should reserve every week to dedicate to the course.
Here how much time participants usually spend each week studying:
The online course primarily consists of written content, supplemented by a few videos. There are no live sessions, but we encourage you to engage with your peers through our Slack channel or on our LinkedIn group.
After completing the sign up form, you will receive an email that contains the link for you to start the course. When you click that link, you will be redirected to this page:

You should click “Enroll for free” and then create a new account on the Thinkific platform.
Important: When creating an account, please use the same email that you used to to sign up for the course on our website.

Once you create your account, you will be able to access the full course. However, if you have selected the scheduled version, please note that only the first lesson will be available initially. The remaining lessons will be blocked, and each session will be unblocked on a weekly basis.
If you have created an account but find that the course content is still blocked, please try clicking the link in the confirmation email again. Once you are on the course page, click on the “Enroll for Free” button to unlock the course material.
This is not a problem. We suggest a deadline for completing the course, but it is optional — your account on Thinkific will still be active. Feel free to take the course at your own pace. We want to ensure that you have enough time to benefit from the course material!
We do recommend though that you set a new deadline for yourself at some point in the near future (e.g. extra 2 weeks) as research shows that deadlines help course takers complete the material.
