About the Role
This role serves as the central intelligence and data function within the organisation. You will transform research and data into actionable insights that guide campaign strategy and decision-making.
Your work determines where and when to apply pressure, ensuring campaigns are informed, targeted, and effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and maintain detailed profiles of target companies (commitments, progress, leadership, public statements)
- Identify strategic opportunities for campaign intervention
- Track and analyse campaign performance metrics
- Produce data-driven recommendations for strategy improvement
- Maintain CRM systems, contact databases, and communication infrastructure
- Create and manage digital campaign actions
- Coordinate campaign technology tools and liaise with developers
Candidate Profile
- Strong self-directed research skills and ability to synthesise complex information
- Curiosity about corporate behaviour and decision-making
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and recommend actions
- Strong data management discipline and attention to quality
- Clear, precise written communication
- High attention to detail (accuracy of facts, dates, names)
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
Preferred:
- Experience with CRM systems or data analysis
- Background in ESG, corporate accountability, or investigative research
- Familiarity with AI-assisted research tools
- Technical troubleshooting skills (e.g. WordPress, hosting, domains)
- Knowledge of animal welfare, sustainability, or advocacy sectors
Success Metrics
- Month 1: Audit existing research, identify gaps, begin updating intelligence
- Month 2: Independently manage data systems and deliver first strategic recommendations
- Month 3: Become the primary source of company intelligence and proactively identify new opportunities
