About the Role
The Animal Welfare Alliance works to ensure that as many animals as possible have a life worth living. We prioritize the animals that need it most, in agriculture, fish farming, and animal testing. We are now looking for a political advisor who can contribute to the work of translating professional knowledge into political impact.
The Animal Welfare Alliance collaborates with farmers who give animals a life worth living, and our employees regularly visit farms. As a political advisor, you will be part of an interdisciplinary environment that works for better animal welfare.
About the Position
You will, among other things:
- Follow political processes and identify opportunities for impact on our most important issues.
- Plan and implement political advocacy work.
- Develop political strategies and messages in close collaboration with our professional advisors.
- Prepare decision-making documents, memos, letters, presentations, and consultation inputs.
- Prepare and participate in meetings with politicians, authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and other key stakeholders.
Through targeted advocacy work, you can help create concrete improvements for millions of animals.
About You
We are looking for you who have:
- A desire to create political impact that contributes to better animal welfare.
- In-depth knowledge of the political system and the conduct of political processes.
- Very good written and oral communication skills.
- Relevant education and/or experience from political work, government relations, or interest-based political advocacy work.
We believe you will be successful in the role if you:
- Have good political acumen.

- Have high execution skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Are confident in meeting with government officials and external partners.
