About the Role
Main tasks:
- To ensure the receipt, analysis and processing of reports of animal abuse sent to the association by email, mail or via online forms.
- Manage the daily operations of the dedicated email inbox for reports and requests for intervention.
- Assess the nature and urgency of the reported situations in order to determine the appropriate follow-up actions.
- To conduct and coordinate field investigations carried out by the association’s volunteer investigators.
- Ensure the administrative and operational follow-up of investigation files until their closure.
- To be the primary point of contact for volunteer investigators and to ensure the smooth running of investigations.
- Follow up with the various stakeholders to ensure the progress of the files.
- To ensure communication with the police, gendarmerie, public prosecutors, DDPP, OFB.
- To collaborate with animal protection associations, shelters, foundations and partners in order to organize, when necessary, the care of animals.
- Draft administrative reports to the competent authorities, in particular the DDPP.
- Participate in drafting and follow up on complaints filed by the association with judicial and administrative authorities.
- Participate in the preparation of litigation files and the filing of civil suits for the association.
- To ensure the provision of legal information and advice to the public in the field of animal protection.
- Participate in service meetings, training sessions and institutional exchanges organized as part of the association’s activities.
- More generally, participate in any mission related to the operation of the legal department and investigations of the association.
Desired profile
- Legal training at least at Baccalaureate level (private law, criminal law, public law or animal law).
- Excellent writing skills.
- Sense of organization, rigor and autonomy.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills.
- Proficiency in office and computer tools.
- Sensitivity to animal welfare is essential.
Remuneration and benefits
€1,625 gross per month (30 hours/week), company health insurance covered at 50%, €8 meal vouchers per day worked – start date as soon as possible.
