About the Role
Role Purpose: This dual-purpose role combines:
- Global Talent Development Coordinator: Optimize and implement programs for learning, leadership development and cultural transformation.
- Country HR Management: To serve as the local Country HR Manager for Vietnam, ensure HR operational excellence and compliance in country.
Responsibilities
Global Talent Development
Learning and Development programs:
- Optimize and implement global Learning and Development programs, aligned with organisational goals (e.g., leadership pipelines, technical upskilling)
- Manage e-learning platforms (LMS) and partnerships with external training providers.
Organisational Development:
- Drive cultural transformation initiatives and change management for restructures, or new strategies
- Develop team effectiveness programs (Performance Appraisal system, Team Health Checks, survey)
Performance & Succession:
- Implement talent review processes and high-potential (HiPo) development plans.
- Align OD initiatives with succession planning to future-proof leadership.
Metrics & ROI:
- Track program effectiveness (completion rates, promotion rates post-training)
Country HR Management
- Lead the country HR function and act as the primary HR contact and strategic advisor to the Country Director.
- Effectively lead a team of local HR professionals and manage day-to-day HR workflows.
- Lead rollout of global HR initiatives after adapting them to local needs and practices.
- Based on trusted relationships across the organisation, effectively facilitate cross-team collaboration, coaching and conflict management.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Oversee employee performance management, including the appraisal process.
- Optimize HR processes using technology (e.g. HRIS, analytics tools).
- Lead recruitment and employer branding.
- Manage and implement the remuneration policy.
- Manage the department’s finances, including its budget, and continually identify opportunities to work more effectively and cost efficiently.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organisation Development, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in HR, Learning & Development, Organisational Development or Talent Management.
- Proven experience in HR management and HR operations.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing L&D and OD programs.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, coaching and communication skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Skills & Competencies:
- Experience in L&D and OD framework and program design in global setting.
- Experience in change management and cultural transformation.
- Outstanding stakeholder management, coaching, and interpersonal skills across diverse cultures and regions.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years’ progressive experience L&D/OD and HR operations.
- Participation in scaling L&D/OD programs globally.
- Track record of HR management in the local country.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to driving cultural change.
- Proven experience in program design and development, preferably in a corporate or higher education setting.
- Experience with online learning platforms and technologies.
- Experience supervising or leading a team.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of international HR best practices.
- Detailed knowledge of local country employment practices and labour laws and regulation.
- Knowledge of workforce learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
Languages: Native Vietnamese and strong English (written and spoken).
Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources Management, Learning and Development, Organisation Development, or related field.
