About the Role

Location: Denver/Boulder area (USA)

Type: Part-time (up to 20 hours/week)

Compensation: $33/hour

Schedule: Flexible, self-managed

This role focuses on building the financial base for pro-animal political campaigns through direct, in-person fundraising and relationship-building with community members.

Key Responsibilities

• Canvass residential areas and engage residents in conversations about campaigns
• Secure recurring monthly donations from supporters
• Develop and deliver compelling fundraising pitches
• Accurately process donor information in the field
• Represent the organisation positively in all interactions

Performance Metrics

• Weekly volume of recurring donations secured
• Quality of interactions and public perception of the organisation

Candidate Profile

• Significant experience in canvassing or fundraising
• Strong commitment to farmed animal welfare
• Ability to quickly build rapport and sustain conversations
• Resilience and energy in the face of rejection
• Clear and persuasive communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Recruitment Process

The hiring process includes a trial canvassing shift alongside an existing fundraiser, allowing candidates to experience the role in practice before committing.

Pro-Animal Future is building a political movement to end factory farming and turn public support for animals into law. Our ballot initiatives give communities across the country the chance to vote for a more humane future. We are currently working on campaigns to end the sale of force-fed foie gras.
