About the Role

We’re looking for a curious, organised, and proactive Generalist Intern to help shape Animal Advocacy Media. You’ll work closely with founder Cameron King, previously a co-founder of Animal Advocacy Africa and Hive, across research, communications, outreach, and programme development, including experiments with AI tools.

We’ll agree on one or two focus areas at a time based on your strengths, interests, and the project’s evolving priorities. Tasks could include researching existing programmes, gathering insights from advocates, drafting recruitment materials, or testing ideas for the fellowship.

You don’t need extensive experience. We welcome examples from volunteering, education, and personal projects, and value initiative, attention to detail, and motivation to reduce animal suffering. You’ll receive mentorship, practical experience, and ownership of manageable projects.

• Location: Remote, with UK time zone overlap
• Hours: 5–10 hours per week, flexible
• Duration: Two months, with a possible extension
• Compensation: $500 per month

About the Organisation

Animal Advocacy Media is developing a programme to help people use social media to advocate for farmed animals. We aim to build practical skills and support effective communication that helps reduce animal suffering. We’re currently researching and shaping our first pilot. Alongside the fellowship, we’re exploring how AI-enabled tools could help animal advocates use AI itself to communicate more effectively and extend their impact. Both strands are at an early stage, with research and small experiments guiding what we build.
