About the Role

Animal Society is a non-profit organization that advocates for the interests of animals and encourages society and politicians to end animal suffering. Through our educational work and political campaigns, we create transparency to establish effective animal welfare in our society.

Our campaign team analyzes and evaluates current political and social developments as well as legislative proposals. As a volunteer in the Federal Volunteer Service (BFD), you will support us in planning politically oriented campaigns.

We are continuously hiring BDF members for periods between 6 and 18 months.

Period/Duration: Starting immediately for a period of between 6 and 18 months

Working hours: 35 hours/week

Work location: Stuttgart

  • Research work on animal welfare and agricultural policy issues
  • Comprehensive insight into and support for the work of our campaign and communications team.
  • Preparation and participation in public relations and media work
  • Preparation and maintenance of one of our databases to support the qualitative expansion of our network.

What we wish for

  • Enthusiasm and passion for animal welfare
  • Ideally, a degree in political science, media studies, or agricultural science, or an affinity for politics and an interest in legislative processes, the workings of political parties, parliaments, ministries, and civil society organizations.
  • Self-initiative, independent and structured work
  • Creative flair and team spirit
  • Good English skills
