About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and proactive Digital Communications Specialist to help grow the Alliance’s digital reach, engagement, and impact.
Reporting to the Campaigns and Communications Manager, you’ll lead the creation of the Alliance’s day-to-day social media content — turning campaign priorities, policy issues, and organisational updates into compelling digital content that helps more people understand, care about, and act on issues affecting animals at scale.
This is a hands-on content role with a strong focus on social media, video, and audience growth. You’ll develop ideas, write copy, design content, script and produce videos, manage our social communities, and use performance data to test and improve what we do. You’ll also help us expand our presence on new platforms and identify opportunities to reach audiences through creators, influencers, podcasts, and emerging digital channels.
You’ll work closely with the Alliance team, who will provide campaign, policy, and subject-matter expertise. Your job will be to find creative and engaging ways to bring that work to life for digital audiences. There will also be opportunities to contribute your skills across broader digital communications, supporter engagement, and fundraising activities.
The Alliance works remotely, with staff currently based in NSW, Victoria, and Queensland. This role can be based anywhere in Australia, with a slight preference for applicants based in Victoria.
