About the Role

Are you deeply committed to animal welfare and always up-to-date on what’s happening on social media?

Are you creative, dynamic, and possess a real talent for online communication?

Responsibilities

Creating and publishing content to generate engagement:

  • Publishing content in accordance with the conventions of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • Promoting each piece of content through stories, responding to comments…
  • Writing post texts while respecting the activist tone of the organization
  • Designing, organizing, and filming interviews to highlight testimonies on animal welfare issues
  • Creating content (facecams, stories, or visuals depending on your interests) and brainstorming ideas with the Creative Manager
  • Archiving and organizing video/communication files

Implementing a communication strategy:

  • Adapting the communication strategy based on audiences and metrics
  • Monitoring partners’ social media, trends, and best practices to adjust content strategies
  • Implementation of sponsorship

Responsive and dynamic community management:

  • Community engagement across various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X)
  • Moderation of comments, monitoring and management of negative comments
  • Responding to private messages and other interactions
  • Initial contact for potential collaborations (for example, for interviews or collaborations with other organizations)

As the role evolves, you will also be able to take on Press Officer responsibilities such as:

  • Writing and distributing press releases by identifying news with media potential for each campaign
  • Contacting journalists to cultivate long-term relationships
  • Updating press files and materials

Desired Profile

  • Excellent understanding of the conventions and workings of social media (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • In-depth knowledge of animal rights and the activist community
  • Determination to advance animal rights and generate engagement
  • Autonomy and initiative while respecting the organization’s guidelines
  • You’re not afraid of making mistakes: you’re not a perfectionist and you react quickly!

Employment Conditions

  • Type of contract: Fixed-term contract, renewable, available as soon as possible
  • Full-time or part-time
  • The position is primarily remote
  • Salary will be at the minimum wage (SMIC), as our organization does not yet have the capacity to offer higher pay
