About the Role

PETA’s campaigns team is at the core of the organisation — it’s a busy group of advocates pushing for an end to animal suffering with eye-catching, bold campaigns calling on the government, companies, and the public to take action for animals. Our priorities include ending the use of animals for experimentation, food, fashion, and entertainment.

As our campaigns intern, you’ll be right in the thick of it — helping to plan and deliver creative actions, demonstrations, and other initiatives that get people talking and make a difference to animals. If you share PETA’s values and are eager to get stuck in, we can’t wait to hear from you. We’re looking for someone who can commit to four days a week (days to be agreed in advance) for a period of six months.

Position Objective

To support and assist the campaigns team with actions and projects that further PETA’s mission.

About the Organisation

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organization in the world, and PETA entities have more than 9 million members and supporters globally. PETA opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview, and focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: in laboratories, in the food industry, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment business. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of rodents, birds, and other animals who are often considered “pests” as well as cruelty to domesticated animals."
