About the Role

The board holds ultimate fiduciary responsibility for GFI’s US entity. Its functions include:

  • Hiring and evaluating senior leadership.
  • Setting and testing organizational strategy, including decisions about GFI’s structure and its relationship to the affiliated global network.
  • Approving the annual budget and overseeing financial controls.
  • Supporting fundraising and donor relationships.
  • Serving on at least one board committee, where the detailed work happens.
