About the Role
The Animal Welfare & Education Advisory Committee at Voices for Animal Welfare (VfAW) develops educational programs that foster empathy, compassion, and responsibility toward animals and people. Members bring backgrounds in teaching, psychology, social science, or community engagement.
Requirements
- Design or advise on humane education curricula for schools and communities.
- Create and review learning materials, toolkits, and digital content.
- Promote inclusive and culturally relevant approaches to animal welfare education.
- Support youth and community engagement initiatives by:
- Leading or advising on workshops and training sessions.
- Developing materials that build empathy and critical thinking.
- Promoting storytelling and arts as tools for education.
- Collaborate with educators, NGOs, and local authorities to expand outreach.
- Provide guidance on evaluation, inclusivity, and accessibility of educational programs.
- Join online meetings and contribute to program development and review.
This is a voluntary, honorary position focused on inspiring compassion and awareness through education and community participation.
