About the Role
The Union for the Animals gives animals in livestock farming a voice. We do not view animals as means of production, but as working animals with rights. Through innovative projects, research, and collaboration with farmers, scientists, policymakers, and other civil society organizations, we work towards a better position for animals.
We are a young, independent organization with big ambitions. Much has been established, but there is still much to build. Therefore, we are looking for a Business Director who wants to take the next step with us.
We are not looking for a director to manage an existing organization. We are looking for a builder.
Someone who:
- Combines ideals with business and strategic insight.
- Sees opportunities and knows how to connect funds, partners, and people.
- Not only comes up with ideas, but also gets them off the ground.
- Easily switches between different worlds.
- Takes responsibility and enjoys working in an environment where not everything is set in stone.
Initially, the focus is on strategy, fundraising, and organizational development. You are an important sparring partner and help determine where the Union for the Animals will stand in a few years. Subsequently, the role can evolve further towards projects, team, and day-to-day management.
- Start: January/February 2027
- Indication of compensation: Approximately €4,000 per month for full-time employment (limited funding currently available)
We will use the first two months to discover if we are the right people to build together. After that, we want to continue the collaboration and further develop the role as soon as sufficient funding has been secured.
We offer uncertainty. But also a great deal of freedom, responsibility, and the opportunity to help build an organization that aims to realize a fundamentally different view of animals in livestock farming.
