To conduct research on a variety of assigned topics and help oversee investigations in order to promote the goals of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Research a variety of animal protection issues to help further PETA’s investigative work.
- Ensure the factual accuracy of publications related to PETA’s investigations.
- Review and prepare investigative footage, working with investigators and other stakeholders, so that findings can be shared internally as well as with journalists, authorities, and others.
- Procure equipment for investigators.
- Track expenses as well as complete and turn in expense reports on a regular basis.
- Follow legal and professional guidelines and call issues to your supervisor’s attention.
- File complaints with local authorities based on investigations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the vice president.

- Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth research.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
- Proven excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to share complex findings in an easily comprehensible way.
- Willingness and ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion at all times.
- Ability to make sound judgments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated support for PETA’s philosophy and the ability to advocate professionally for our positions on issues.
