About the Role
Most people running corporate campaigns for farmed animals came into it from somewhere else. They were hired for skills they already had, then taught the campaigning on the job.
This course gives you that same starting point: you learn how corporate campaigns work by doing it, and you finish with a portfolio and a certificate you can show to employers.
Who It’s For
You’ll get the most out of this if you’re working in, or have worked in, any of these:
- Marketing, communications, PR, or content
- Project, programme, or operations management
- Corporate affairs, ESG, sustainability, or policy
- Community organising, mobilisation, or campaigns in another cause such as climate or human rights
- Research, analysis, or investigations
Mapping stakeholders, getting a story to land, holding a plan together over months, persuading someone senior who has already said no: campaigners do all of this, and most of them learned it in another job first. Entry-level and career-changers are encouraged to apply.
What You Finish With
- A portfolio of real campaign work
- A certificate from The Humane League and Animal Advocacy Careers
- For the strongest finishers, career advising from AAC and referrals to organisations hiring
You’ll learn from campaigners at The Humane League and Open Wing Alliance partner organisations who have run these campaigns against some of the largest food companies in the world.
The Commitment
One live session a week on Monday evenings, Europe time, plus a hands-on task in between. Around 2 to 3 hours a week, built to fit around a full-time job.
Applications close 24 September.
