About the Role

Lewis & Clark Law School is inviting applications from candidates for a tenure-track animal law faculty position (entry level). As an integral member of the groundbreaking Center for Animal Law Studies, the selected candidate will teach within a program world-renowned for its robust animal law curriculum. The expected start date is Summer 2027.

Candidates must hold a J.D. (or equivalent) and should demonstrate: a record of academic excellence; meaningful academic or practice experience; a passion for teaching and service; and a record of, or strong potential for, scholarly achievement.

The law school will participate in the AALS Faculty Recruitment Conference and will also accept direct applications. Screening interviews will begin in September 2026.

The law school is inviting applications for a total of five faculty positions across a range of areas of legal scholarship, all shown in the above announcement.
