This role supports a ballot initiative (IP28) for the Oregon 2026 General Election aimed at banning most forms of intentional harm to animals, including slaughter, hunting, and experimentation, with exemptions for self-defense and veterinary care.
The campaign represents a potential historic milestone in the animal rights movement by bringing the issue directly to public vote.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect signatures for the state ballot initiative
- Engage with the public and communicate campaign goals
Qualifications
- No convictions for fraud, forgery, or identity theft
- No fines related to violations of petition circulation laws
- Authorized to work in the United States
Applicants do not need to be registered voters or of voting age but must reside in Oregon or Washington.
Compensation
- $25/hour after the initial two-week period
- $20/hour during the first two weeks (probationary period)
