About the Role

Employee to work as COMMUNICATION & FUNDRAISING MANAGER for the non-profit organization FRENTE ANIMAL, on a full-time basis (35h-40h per week) and predominantly on a remote basis.

šŸ” FUNCTIONS:

- Develop an annual strategic communications plan (to be updated from year to year), aligned with Frente Animal's overall strategy and budget plan, which defines priorities, tactics and measurable objectives;

- Developing annual and quarterly social media planning, forecasting the campaigns we will launch, the main content to be developed, as well as important headings;

- Developing creative content for Frente Animal's social media pages (development of visual creatives, video editing, etc.);

- Scheduling, publishing and supervising content for Frente Animal's social networks;

- Interaction and follow-up with social media followers, and clarification of questions and requests from followers, as far as possible;

- Supporting the creation of creative communication elements for Frente Animal's campaigns;

- Support for the implementation of the fundraising strategy, in terms of creating and launching campaigns to raise donations, both via social networks and newsletters (fortnightly);

- Creation and maintenance of communication via the Frente Animal website: publication of news articles, campaign updates, informative blog articles (developed by third parties);

- Supporting communication with members of the Abrir de Asas (ADA) NGO network, articulating important key activities such as campaigns and petitions.

The employee will work under the coordination of the executive director and campaigns manager.

šŸ” REQUIREMENTS:

What we expect (mandatory requirements):

- Experience & knowledge of marketing and communications
- Experience in boosting & managing social networks
- Attention to detail: someone who is meticulous in the way they organize themselves, and autonomous in the pursuit of objectives, without the need for micro-management and with only basic guidance
- Ability to work in a digital environment and mastery of relevant tools (i.e. Google drive, Google docs, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Proficiency in English
- Always have access to a good Wi-Fi connection

- Passion for the causes of our organization (Frente Animal) and a sense of identity with the project and its mission

- Good organizational skills: meeting commitments, reliably completing simultaneous tasks and projects, ensuring that all aspects are addressed comprehensively and distributing time effectively to manage deadlines.

- Experience in similar projects and positions relating to communication management (i.e. social media, website, newsletter)

- Autonomy to achieve goals and a sense of responsibility (we don't control schedules, and we encourage a high sense of accountability for meeting set goals and targets, which then requires strong time management skills and self-motivation)

- Proficiency in image & video editing tools (e.g. Adobe, Canva, etc.)

- Knowledge of social media management tools (e.g. Buffer, others)

- Knowledge of photography and/or video

- Located in the Greater Porto area (our office is in Porto)

About the Organisation

Frente Animal is a new non-profit organization based in Portugal whose main focus is to promote the more ethical treatment of livestock and leverage protein alternatives to reduce and/or eliminate their exploitation in the food chain.

Our mission is to give visibility to animals exploited for human consumption, defending their interests by promoting changes in legislation, corporate practices and eating habits in the most effective way possible).
