About the Role

FWI is always on the lookout for highly talented individuals who are willing to work in rural India. As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping us streamline our recruitment processes, which may involve building and maintaining relationships with universities and fellowship programs, such as campus hiring or rural fellowship hiring, to ensure we attract the right talent.

In addition, you will support the Managing Director by managing employee relations, overseeing training and development programs, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Success in this role requires strong recruitment expertise, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of HR best practices.

About the Organisation

Fish Welfare Initiative (FWI) is a relatively new, ACE-recommended organization whose mission is to improve the welfare of fishes as much as possible. We focus specifically on farmed fishes, or fishes raised in aquaculture. Our main country of implementation is India, where we currently work in the Nellore and West Godavari districts.

As part of our Alliance for Responsible Aquaculture (ARA), we work with over 100 fish farms. Through this program, we estimate that we have already improved the lives of over one million fishes, though we intend to have a much greater impact in the coming years. Learn more about our plans and our organization in our blog.
